Bellangelo, 2009, Riesling Semi-Dry, Finger Lakes, NY
Light straw colored wine. The Riesling had a nice fruity nose. Grapefruit was the predominate taste, with a little bit of pineapple. It had hints of sweetness, but the acid came thought nicely. The wine was well balanced. We had this wine while enjoying some time on our back deck. We started the barbeque and grilled some chicken breast with a Kansas City sauce. The chicken along with some broccoli and baked bean went very well with the second glass of Riesling.
We enjoyed the Riesling and will be drinking more Finger Lakes Rieslings as the summer goes on.
