Fess Parker, 2008, Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara, California
Price: $24 per bottle
The Pinot had a dark red color, the nose was vibrant with tones of cherry and the soft tannins. There was lots of fruit with the first taste, I noted cherry, but the bottle talked about cranberries and blueberries. I could not pick out the cranberry or blueberry taste. The after taste had some nice soft tannins. Dried out my mouth a bit, then I was ready for another sip. The wine was very good, it meet of expectations of a special once a quarter wine. I would love to have this as an everyday wine, but could not afford it.
