Barton & Guestier, Vouvray, 2009, France
Price $10 per bottle
I enjoyed the 2008 B&G Vouvray, we tried in March. When I went to repurchase, they did not have 2008 Vouvray, but they did have the 2009 vintage. It was three dollar less per bottle which was good, but I wonder if the quality would be lower. I got this answer when I opened the first bottle a week later. The 2009 was close enough to the 2008, that I could not detect a difference. If I had both in front of me, I might have been able to notice a different. We had the 2009 with fruit, shrimp, and some Yancy champaign cheese. Everything was great, only $3 less per bottle.
Note: This time I purchased four bottles.
